SUMMARY:
A vacancy currently exists within the agriculture/citrus sector for a Logistics Controller on a fixed-term contract (6-months), commencing 1 March 2021.
POSITION INFO:
- Bookings and forecasting with forwarding agent
- Selection of vessels per required ETA
- Allocating and managing of stock
- Resolving stock queries
- Streamlines shipping and transportation processes within the supply chain
- Manages activities throughout the order fulfilment and supply chain cycle to make sure established deadlines are met
- Continually reviews freight costs, transportation rates, and cold store rates to keep costs down where possible
Requirements:
- Computer Literate (Word / Excel (intermediate level) / Outlook)
- Knowledge of Iroot (stock management systems) for allocating pallets, bookings, day to day processing and reports is advantageous
- Intermediate numerical abilities (calculations and numerical reasoning, reconciliations)
- Relevant tertiary qualification or experience in Logistics or the Citrus Industry
- Must be willing to work Long hours and on Weekends and public holidays
