Logistics Controller

SUMMARY:
Job Purpose:

Mining Site Based – Keep Operations Moving.
Are you organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about keeping mining logistics running efficiently? We are looking for a Logistics Controller to support the day-to-day coordination of on-site logistics operations. You will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of coal, managing transport schedules, monitoring stockpiles, and maintaining accurate logistics records.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily mine-site logistics activities, including weighbridge operations, stockpile management, truck movements, and transport scheduling.
• Monitor inbound and outbound truck movements to minimise delays and maintain operational efficiency.
• Ensure the safe handling and movement of coal while preventing contamination and maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Capture and maintain accurate logistics data using SAP (or a similar ERP system) and Excel, including load tracking, stock reconciliations, and trip records.
• Identify operational issues and assist in implementing improvements to optimise logistics processes.
• Work closely with transport contractors, machine operators, and site personnel to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Ensure all logistics documentation is completed accurately and on time.
• Promote a strong safety culture and comply with all company policies and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• 3–5 years' experience in mining logistics, transport coordination, or bulk material movement (coal experience advantageous).
• Experience using SAP (or a similar ERP system), Microsoft Excel, weighbridge systems, and stockpile logistics.
• Good planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail with experience in reconciliations, trip sheets, and logistics reporting.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced mining environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well with contractors and operational teams.
