SUMMARY:
Luxury Game Lodge based close to Pongola is looking for a Logistics Assistant to support daily operational logistics, particularly in preparing game drive vehicles and ensuring the vehicle depot and equipment areas are organized and operational.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Activities Coordinator to assist with preparing game drive vehicles with the required food, beverages, and equipment.
The role will also involve supporting the Vehicle Fleet Manager by ensuring that the vehicle depot, tools and equipment used by the rangers and activities team are properly maintained, organized and ready for use.
This is a hands-on operational role requiring a practical individual who can assist across different departments to ensure the smooth running of daily lodge activities.

Duties:
Assist the Activities Coordinator with loading food, beverages, and supplies onto game drive vehicles
Ensure vehicles are properly prepared with the required equipment before scheduled game drives
Assist with unloading and organizing equipment and supplies after game drives
Assist the Vehicle Fleet Manager with general logistical and operational tasks within the vehicle depot
Ensure tools, compressors, power washers, and equipment used by rangers and activities staff are functional and properly organized
Monitor equipment and report any faults or maintenance needs to the appropriate department
Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and well-managed vehicle depot area
Assist with moving equipment, supplies, and materials between operational areas of the lodge
Provide general operational support to the Events Manager and activities team when required
Ensure equipment and work areas are kept orderly and ready for daily operations
Requirements:
Practical experience in general operational, logistics, or maintenance support roles
Ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, loading, and organizing equipment
Reliable and responsible with a strong work ethic
Ability to work in a remote lodge environment
Ability to work early mornings and late afternoons aligned with game drive schedules
Experience working in lodges, farms, or hospitality environments
Basic mechanical or maintenance knowledge
Experience assisting with tools, equipment management, or logistics support
