SUMMARY:

FMCG Wholesaler in Montague Gardens has an opportunity available for a Logistics Administrator (6 month Maternity Contract) who will report to the Logistics Manager

Main purpose of the position:

Ensure that logistics admin is captured correctly and that the delivery trucks are coordinated

Key responsibilities:

Contact transporters daily
Booking of vehicles from transporters
Requesting rates from transporters
Preparing trip sheets for all regions
Generate a tracking report spreadsheet on excel and updating daily
Calling drivers
Giving updates to the relevant sales team
Resolving any logistics queries
Receiving and matching invoices with PO’s
Checking that POD’s / DN are correct
Communicating with Cold Stores (x3)

POSITION INFO:

Qualification and Experience needed:

Matric
Tertiary qualification advantageous
General computer literate (at least intermediate level) – Windows, MS Word and MS Excel
3 – 5 years relevant experience
SAP Business one advantageous
Own transport essential
Working hours are Monday – Friday from 8am – 5pm (hours may fluctuate due to production requirements, weekends and overtime as per operational requirements)

Salary negotiable depending on experience.
