Loan Set Clerk - Western Cape

SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading medical device company, is seeking organised, detail-oriented Loan Set Clerk to join their team. This opportunity is in the Western Cape.

POSITION INFO:
This role is ideal for candidates with experience coordinating medical loan sets and supporting theatre cases in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
 
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 (Matric).
Relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field will be advantageous.
Consignment stock experience essential
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Loan Set Clerk within the medical device or healthcare industry.
Knowledge of hospital and theatre procedures.
Computer literate with experience using ERP or inventory management systems.
Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Valid driver's licence will be advantageous.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, check, and dispatch loan sets accurately and on time.
Coordinate loan set bookings for scheduled surgical procedures.
Ensure all instruments and implants are complete, clean, sterilised, and available for theatre cases.
Liaise with hospital theatre staff, sales representatives, and logistics teams regarding loan set requirements.
Monitor and control loan set inventory and stock movements.
Process returns and inspect loan sets for completeness and damages.
Report missing or damaged instruments and arrange replacements or repairs.
Maintain accurate documentation and inventory records.
Assist with stock counts and inventory audits.
Ensure compliance with company quality standards and healthcare regulations.
