Loading Supervisor - Meat Traders

SUMMARY:
Meat Traders Abattoir is looking for a hands-on Loading Supervisor to support the Wholesale Manager by overseeing loading, dispatch and vehicle turnaround in a busy meat wholesale environment. This role is key to ensuring that customer orders are picked, checked, loaded and dispatched accurately, safely and on time.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

• National Senior Certificate (Grade 12).​
• 1–2 years’ experience in loading, dispatch, warehouse or cold store operations, preferably in meat, food or FMCG.
• Previous experience in a team leader or senior loader role will be an advantage.
• Basic computer literacy (ability to work with picking lists, invoices and simple spreadsheets).​
• Experience working in a cold chain / refrigerated environment will be an advantage.​
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.​
• Physically fit and able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as operationally required.

Skills and competencies

• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in picking, checking and loading.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to give clear instructions and work well with loaders, drivers and internal departments.
• Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to stay calm and organised in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.​​
• Strong sense of responsibility for safety, hygiene and quality standards in the loading and dispatch areas.​​
• Reliable, disciplined and able to follow standard operating procedures consistently.
