Loading Supervisor

SUMMARY:
My client based in Pinetown is in urgent need for a Loading Supervisor

POSITION INFO:

• To ensure safe loading and cargo security in accordance with Company Procedures
  
• To Assist Driver Trainer with training drivers on safe loading and safe driving practices 
• To assist with truck inspections regarding inspection and accounting of lashing equipment 
• Must have experience loading from the port and document requirements for transit cargo 

• Key Skills:
• To be able to understand the packing list and load cargo appropriately 
• To be able to use and interpret cargo loading software
• To understand causes of cargo shift and ensure the appropriate mitigation required (lashing techniques)
• To be able to correctly carry out “pre-job safety analysis” - hazard awareness and risk assessment 
• To be able to understand Complex load plans and truck/trailer axle weight distribution
• To be able to provide daily operational updates from various loading sites

• Working requirements:
• On- call availability to be in attendance whenever a truck is loading
• Provide your own transport to loading locations
• Provide time sheet for hours worked
