POSITION INFO:
This is a permanent position for a skilled Litigation Attorney to manage a varied caseload spanning both civil and criminal litigation. You will take responsibility for matters from inception through to trial, including active courtroom representation.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Court Appearance: Confidently represent clients in both civil and criminal court proceedings.
• Case Management: Oversee legal files comprehensively from the initial consultation through to final judgment or settlement.
• Legal Drafting: Prepare pleadings, motions, notices, affidavits, and clear legal opinions.
• Trial Preparation: Manage trial bundles, indexing, pagination, and briefs to counsel where necessary.
• Client Advisory: Provide strategic legal advice regarding prospects of success and risk mitigation.
• Evidence Gathering: Consult with witnesses and experts, and conduct thorough legal research.

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or equivalent.
• Admitted Attorney with a valid, current practicing certificate.
• A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification, active courtroom and litigation experience.
• Possession of a valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle.

• Confident courtroom presence and strong oral advocacy skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail regarding legal drafting and file management.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills.
