SUMMARY:
LINEHAUL CONTROLLER
JOHANNESBURG
To effectively manage and control the movement of cargo from the designated origin to the prescribed destination.

POSITION INFO:
Key Job Functions:

• Manage operational files in line with process flows.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and suppliers throughout shipments.
• Source suitable vehicles based on customer requirements.
• Track trucks en route; escalate overdue deliveries to management.
• Support clients with operational and documentation requirements.
• Monitor orders until goods are stacked or delivered, providing regular updates.
• Issue transport bookings with full shipment and rate details, including any special instructions.
• Arrange hazardous cargo documentation (MSDS, trem cards, declarations, placards, etc.).
• Ensure deliveries meet client clearing instructions and timelines.
• Ensure timely and accurate transport execution and delivery.
• Handle invoicing and process supplier invoices.
• Generate status reports and keep systems updated in real-time.
• Collect PODs and acquittals within required KPIs.

• Grade 12; Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
  
• Working Knowledge of MS office 
• 2–3 years in freight/logistics industry. 
• Knowledge of dangerous/hazardous goods.
• Invoicing and break-bulk experience.
• Familiarity with RSA outskirt areas.
