Life & Insurance Administrator – Bedfordview

Our client, based in Bedfordview within the insurance and wealth management industry, is seeking a Life & Insurance Administrator to join their team.

Non-Negotiables:

• Matric + RE5.
• 2+ years’ Long-Term Insurance administration experience.

POSITION INFO:
Key requirements:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in life and/or investment administration within financial services (essential).
• RE5 (advantageous).
• NQF Level 5 or higher qualification in Wealth Management, Financial Planning or a related field (advantageous). Matric is compulsory; a higher qualification will be advantageous.
• Working knowledge of FAIS, FICA and POPIA requirements.
• Proficient in CRM systems (Zoho advantageous) and MS Office, particularly Excel?
• High level of administrative accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple providers, products and deadlines concurrently.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-managed and deadline-driven, comfortable working within a structured process and reporting line.

• Process new business applications for life and investment products across multiple providers, checking for completeness and accuracy before submission.
• Administer in-force policies and investments: alterations, top-ups, withdrawals, fund switches, beneficiary changes, maturities and claims and debit order changes.
• Liaise directly with product providers (insurers and investment houses) to track application status, resolve queries and clear outstanding requirements.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records on CRM in line with FAIS record-keeping requirements.
• Support advisors with client-facing administration: appointment preparation, portfolio valuations, statements and correspondence.
• Ensure FAIS, FICA and POPIA compliance across all documentation and processing workflows.
• Track and follow up on outstanding requirements, underwriting queries and pending business to minimise turnaround times.
• Prepare and update investment and life portfolio reports ahead of client reviews.
• Escalate risk, compliance or service issues to the Director timeously.
