SUMMARY:
My Client, an established Law Firm based in Pretoria East, is looking for a Legal Secretary for the Foreclosure & Secured Asset Litigation Department.

Applicants must have a minimum of 4–6 years’ litigation experience in banking matters, managing high-volume caseloads (±20 matters daily) within strict turnaround times.

Minimum Requirements:

Applicants must have a minimum of 4–6 years’ litigation experience in banking matters, managing high-volume caseloads (±20 matters daily) with
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Working knowledge of DM11, Excalibur, OCS and Lexpro will be advantageous.
Prior experience in foreclosure/secured asset litigation specifically. Familiarity with ABSA’s internal processes/documentation.

Experience Required:

Drafting of Affidavits, Summonses, Section 129 notices, Warrants of attachment and all other banking litigation-related documentation.
Ability to work independently and manage approximately 20 matters per day.
Ability to perform well under immense pressure.
Ability to adhere to very strict turnaround times.
Ability to liaise with banks and debtors in the prescribed manner.
Ability to liaise with the Sheriff offices and other role players.
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Strong sense of urgency, accountability, and attention to detail.
Willingness to work overtime when required by operational demands.
