Lead Generation Consultant / Meeting Originator

We’re looking for a Lead Generation Consultant / Meeting Originator who is driven, resilient and commercially minded to join a fast-paced Sales & Marketing environment. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys the challenge of outbound prospecting and knows that great lead generation is about quality conversations, not simply filling calendars.
 
You’ll play an important role in building the sales pipeline by identifying potential clients, engaging key decision-makers and creating qualified opportunities for the sales team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Researching and identifying prospective businesses and key decision-makers within target markets
• Using telephone, email, LinkedIn and other digital channels to proactively engage prospects
• Following up on marketing activity, prospect lists and inbound interest to uncover potential opportunities
• Building and maintaining a consistent pipeline of prospective clients
• Engaging decision-makers to understand their business needs, challenges and potential requirements
• Securing qualified meetings for the relevant sales team members
• Ensuring meetings are properly qualified and have a clear business purpose before being handed over to sales
• Capturing prospect interactions, conversations, outcomes and next steps accurately within the CRM
• Keeping prospect and customer information up to date and maintaining high standards of data quality
• Working closely with Sales, Marketing and Business Development teams to improve lead generation activity
• Sharing prospect feedback and market insights to help identify new business opportunities
• Consistently working towards agreed outreach and meeting-generation targets

• Previous experience in lead generation, telesales, appointment setting, business development, sales support or customer engagement
• Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls and initiating conversations with new prospects.
• Strong verbal communication and telephone skills
• Confident engaging with decision-makers and building rapport quickly
• Persuasive, professional and commercially aware
• Experience working with a CRM system and maintaining accurate prospect records
• Familiarity with LinkedIn and digital prospecting techniques
• Strong organisation and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
• Resilient and motivated by targets, activity and measurable results
• Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of your pipeline
• A positive, adaptable and collaborative approach to working within a growing team

• This role is about more than simply booking meetings. You'll be successful when you can consistently identify the right prospects, have meaningful conversations, uncover genuine business needs and create opportunities that the sales team can take forward

• Matric / Grade 12 is essential
