Lead Civil Engineer

SUMMARY:
Our clients are seeking an experienced, professional Lead Civil Engineer to join their team.

Purpose:

Lead the design, planning, and technical delivery of civil infrastructure upgrade, replacement, and refurbishment projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and project objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or equivalent recognised qualification).
• Registered Professional Engineer (PrEng) with the relevant professional engineering body.

• Master’s degree in civil engineering (or equivalent).
• Additional training or certifications in one or more of the following:

• Minimum: 5 years' experience in civil infrastructure design or specification.
• Preferred: 10+ years' experience leading infrastructure upgrade, replacement, or refurbishment projects within industrial or large-scale infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and specification of civil engineering projects.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards and legislation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Support project planning, budgeting, and execution.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical input during construction.
• Identify and manage engineering risks and propose practical solutions.
• Ensure quality, safety, and environmental requirements are incorporated into project delivery.
