A busy, modern, and well-established Dental Practice in Rosebank, Johannesburg, is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Dental Lab Assistant to join their professional in-house laboratory team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous dental laboratory experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day running of the laboratory, supporting the production of high-quality dental appliances while ensuring the laboratory remains clean, organised, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
Pouring and trimming dental models.
Fabricating bite plates, retainers, and removable appliances.
Assisting with digital laboratory workflows and operating laboratory equipment as required.
Cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment and workstations.
Keeping accurate laboratory records and maintaining an organised workspace.
Assisting with general dental laboratory duties as required.
Working closely with an experienced laboratory team in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Following practice protocols and maintaining high standards of quality and infection control.
Requirements:
Matric (Grade 12).
Previous working experience in a dental laboratory is essential.
1 years' practical experience in a dental laboratory environment is preferred.
Experience pouring and trimming dental models.
Experience fabricating bite plates, retainers, and removable appliances.
Previous exposure to digital dental laboratory workflows, including 3D printers or milling equipment, will be advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Good communication, organisational, and time management skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
Remuneration: R8 500 – R10 000 before deductions, depending on experience and suitability.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00
