Kids Club Host

SUMMARY:
The Kids Club Host is responsible for creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children staying at the lodge or resort. The successful candidate will plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities, supervise children, and provide exceptional guest experiences for families. The Kids Club Host must have a passion for working with children, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment while maintaining high hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Welcome children and families to the Kids Club and provide a warm, friendly introduction.
• Supervise children and ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Plan and facilitate fun, creative, and educational activities suitable for different age groups.
• Organise indoor and outdoor activities including arts and crafts, games, nature activities, sports, and entertainment.
• Create memorable experiences that enhance the overall guest stay.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and child-friendly Kids Club environment.
• Ensure all activities comply with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Maintain accurate attendance registers and child information records.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding activities and special requirements.
• Assist with special events, family activities, and guest entertainment programmes.
• Adapt activities according to children's ages, interests, and abilities.
• Monitor children’s behaviour and promote positive interaction and teamwork.
• Report any incidents, concerns, or maintenance issues immediately.
• Work closely with the Front Office, Guest Relations, and Management teams to ensure excellent family experiences.
• Assist with creating a welcoming and memorable atmosphere for families.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Qualification in childcare, education, hospitality, tourism, recreation, or a related field is advantageous.
• First Aid certification will be advantageous.

• Previous experience working with children in a childcare, school, holiday programme, camp, hotel, or lodge environment.
• Hospitality experience, particularly within a family-friendly resort or lodge, is advantageous.
• Experience planning children's activities and entertainment programmes.
• Experience interacting with international and local guests is beneficial.
