Junior Wedding & Events Planner – Cape Winelands

SUMMARY:
Do you have a minimum of 3 years experience in project management or corporate event planning?
 
An estate in the Cape Winelands requires an organised and detail-oriented individual to plan weddings and corporate events. You will work closely with clients, suppliers and the internal teams to ensure each event runs smoothly and exceeds expectations.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS

• Matric (Grade 12) or similar
• Relevant qualification in events management or similar, advantageous
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication in English, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Attention to detail and a creative mindset
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings and travel when required for events
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport
• Previous experience in events

• Take ownership in planning weddings, corporate events and private functions
• Work alongside the Events Coordinator and hand over detailed function sheet
• Prepare quotes, event schedules and detailed function sheets
• Communicate with décor suppliers, florists, caterers and other vendors
• Assist with on-site coordination during setup, execution and breakdown of events
• Track budgets and assist with cost control and invoicing preparation
• Handle client queries professionally and timeously
• Maintain accurate event files, checklists and timelines
