Junior Wealth Technical Specialist:

SUMMARY:
This role requires a Junior Wealth Product Specialist in the Financial Services environment with experience in investment products, life insurance, medical aids product analysis.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder engagement: Coordinate engagement sessions between internal and/or external

stakeholders 

• Subject matter expert on technical product and advice matters including but not limited to adviser

focused meetings and relevant technical/distribution committees

• Strategy: Keep track on team projects and providing support in moving them across the line 

• Provide support with Wealth product provider due diligence & ongoing support & introduce efficiencies within team

• Report on the progress of projects & ad hoc business projects undertaken by various members to various management committees 

• Apply actuarial principles and methods to solving defined and routine problems 

• Drive the process with Product Providers, analyse data received, collate feedback 

• Statistical analysis and Risk Assessment

• Analysing financials, tracking progress on projects. Adapting and responding to change.

• Due diligence on product and product providers in collaboration with the risk and finance team

• Research on ad hoc projects 

Minimum requirements:

Qualifications

• Degree in Financial Management / Financial Planning / Financial Accounting or related

• Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning / CFP (Advantageous)

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience dealing with investment products, life insurance, medical aids in the financial services industry

• Must be proficient with PowerPoint, Word and Excel for presentations
