SUMMARY:
Junior Voice Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A junior Voice Engineer is required to assist with the management of the telecommunications infrastructure and its related software such as call management systems, VoIP, video conferencing, voice mail and other telephony and network applications.

INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT AND MAINTENANCE:

Manage Porta billing servers
Manage voice interconnects
Manage multiple Porta environments
Manage Porta number portability database
Detect and address issues with trunks, profiles, endpoints, and dial plans

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

2+ years hands on Telecoms experience
2 + years VoIP experience
PortaOne Knowledge / experience would be advantageous
Understanding of networking / routing and troubleshooting capabilities thereof
Mikrotik experience is preferred and advantageous
Good working knowledge and understanding of telephone protocols such as SIP, TCP/IP, QoS, DHCP, DNS
