Transport Coordinator – Cape Town
Manufacturing / Logistics
Full-time | On-site

Our client, a leading supplier of premium baking equipment and solutions, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Transport Coordinator to manage the planning and execution of all inbound and outbound logistics operations. This role is critical in ensuring that deliveries are completed efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with all regulatory requirements.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Coordinating all local and international transport, including road, sea, and air freight
Obtaining and comparing transport quotes to ensure cost-effective logistics solutions
Planning and scheduling deliveries, ensuring alignment with warehouse and sales operations
Managing and maintaining accurate records of product weights, dimensions, and logistics data
Liaising with branches, suppliers, and transport providers to ensure smooth operations
Coordinating interbranch transfers and ensuring all required documentation is completed
Monitoring delivery schedules and communicating any changes to relevant stakeholders
Handling transport-related insurance claims and resolving logistics issues
Supporting export processes, including assisting with shipping quotes and container logistics
Continuously identifying opportunities to improve transport efficiency and processes

Requirements:

Matric (Mathematics advantageous)
Minimum 2 years’ experience within a logistics or transport coordination environment
Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as SYSPRO)
Excellent organisational and time management skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
