Our client is looking for a Junior Test Analyst to join their Business Software Services team in Morningside, Sandton. This is an opportunity to work across the software development lifecycle, gain exposure to different testing environments and develop your technical testing capabilities.

This is a great opportunity for a developing Test Analyst to strengthen their exposure to software testing, UAT, APIs, SQL and test automation, while working within an established Business Software Services environment.

Duties:

• Create test cases and test plans based on user requirements
• Perform functional, integration, system and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Identify, analyse and document software/programming errors
• Verify fixes and ensure issues are resolved
• Communicate test results and findings to project stakeholders
• Assist with UAT and obtain user sign-off
• Support the preparation of training material and user manuals where required
• Work closely with users and internal teams to ensure quality solutions are delivered

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Relevant degree, diploma or IT/software development qualification.
• ISTQB or related Test Analysis qualification would be advantageous

• 1–2 years’ relevant testing experience
• Manual testing experience
• SQL experience
• Web API experience
• Knowledge of JSON
• Knowledge of SDLC
• Understanding of Boundary Analysis
• Exposure to test automation practices/tools

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
• A proactive, persistent and team-oriented approach
