SUMMARY:
Our client in the Insurance Brokerage industry is seeking to employ a Short-Term Insurance Underwriter to join their team based in Port Elizabeth.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in a similar Short-Term Insurance Underwriting role (essential).
Experience working on insurers' online platforms and underwriting systems.
Relevant insurance qualification will be advantageous.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong administrative and organisational skills.
Systematic and detail-oriented approach to work.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bilingual in English and Afrikaans.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Process policy renewals efficiently and accurately.
Prepare and process policy amendments.
Generate quotations for existing clients.
Provide underwriting support to the current underwriting team.
Liaise with insurers regarding policy queries and underwriting matters.
Maintain accurate client records and policy documentation.
Ensure compliance with company procedures and insurer requirements.
Perform general administrative duties related to underwriting.
Deliver excellent customer service to clients and internal stakeholders.
Assist with resolving underwriting and policy-related queries.
Monitor outstanding documentation and follow up where required.
Support the team with daily operational and administrative activities.
