SUMMARY:
Our client in the insurance sector is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Junior Short-Term Insurance Underwriter to join their growing team in Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

Process renewals, policy amendments and quotations for existing clients.
Work closely with the underwriting team to provide efficient underwriting support.
Perform a variety of underwriting administration and support functions.
Ensure accurate processing of policy documentation and client records.
Maintain a high level of customer service while managing client queries.
Liaise with insurers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely turnaround of requests.
Ensure all underwriting activities comply with company procedures and insurer requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric).
Relevant Short-Term Insurance qualification will be advantageous.
Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a similar underwriting role (non-negotiable).
Experience working on insurer online platforms and underwriting systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
Strong administrative and organisational skills.
Systematic with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
Strong customer service orientation and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
