SUMMARY:
An established company providing services to the food processing industry is looking for a suitably skilled Junior Service Technician to join their Gauteng Team. Must have food industry background and mechanical engineering experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Specification;

Service, maintain and engineering support for the products supplied by the company
Scheduled service visits to customers
Ability to handle breakdowns (once trained by Senior Technician) and work over weekends if needed
Machine audits and reporting potential problems to the customer
Project management of new equipment sold by the company, from time to time
Installation and commissioning of new equipment supplied by the company (once trained by Senior Technician)
Managing sub-contractors on-site during installations
Controlling all costings on installations
Report writing to customers, principle suppliers and management on service visits and installations
Liaising with overseas principle suppliers from time to time regarding fault finding on equipment

Minimum Requirements;

Must be fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans

Electrical and mechanical experience essential

Electrical fault finding ability

Previous experience in the poultry or food industry is hugely beneficial

Ability to draw on AutoCad would be a further advantage

Availability to travel and work overtime

Millwright trade test or equivalent

Must be driven and able to work under little to no supervision

Willing to learn

Drivers licence

Ability to handle breakdowns (once trained by Senior Technician) and work over weekends if needed
