Junior QC / Laboratory Technician

SUMMARY:
A well-established FMCG manufacturing organisation is seeking a QC / Laboratory Technician to support laboratory testing, production quality control and food-safety compliance.

POSITION INFO:
 
Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine quality inspections across production processes.
• Perform laboratory analysis and testing of samples.
• Monitor compliance with quality, hygiene and GMP requirements.
• Inspect finished products prior to dispatch.
• Support incoming raw-material and packaging inspections.
• Maintain accurate laboratory and quality records.
• Support food-safety and quality-management systems.
• Identify and report quality deviations and non-conformances.
• Ensure testing and quality activities are completed accurately and timeously.

• Grade 12.
• Diploma or Degree in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Food & Nutrition or Analytical Chemistry.
• 2–3 years' relevant experience.
• FMCG/manufacturing experience is essential.
• FSSC 22000 exposure and understanding.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and report-writing ability.
• High attention to detail.
• Must be willing and able to work shifts.

• Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment involving oils, ingredients or related products.
