Our client based in Durbanville, Cape Town has been supplying and managing commercial and industrial properties to renters and buyers since 1998. They are looking for a Junior Property Manager to join their team. You will be assisting in the management of the company property portfolio and will need strong relationship management skills. Strong aptitude with figures and the ability to communicate in Afrikaans will secure.

Requirements:

• Matric with maths and accounting
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills
• Innovative and analytical thinking
• Problem-solving and time management skills
• Attention to detail
• Extremely organised
• Valid driver’s license and own transport
• Must be able to converse in Afrikaans (non-negotiable)

Bonuses:

• Understanding of sectional title management and legal frameworks
• 1 - 3 years’ residential / estate management experience
• Diploma in Property Management
• Paddocks course in body corporates and HOAs

Responsibilities:

• Manage e-mail correspondence
• Distribute notices via e-mail / hand delivery, etc.
• Update rules of conduct following consultation with trustees
• Prepare AGM notices and attend meetings
• Ensure legal compliance and accurate meeting minutes
• Maintain statutory filing and databases
• Keep client files current and organised
• Correspond with insurance companies to renew / update annual policies
• Ensure fire equipment is serviced regularly
