Junior NPD Technologist

SUMMARY:
A food ingredient manufacturer is looking for a Junior NPD Food Technologist to join their team. This position will report to the Head of New Product Development. Responsibilities will include but is not limited to: Assist with product development activities for herb and spice blends, premixes, batch packs, and related applications. Prepare product samples, prototypes, and trial batches for evaluation. Support product reformulation and product improvement initiatives. Conduct basic laboratory tests and assist with troubleshooting product-related issues. Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Sales teams during development projects. Participate in project meetings and provide technical support. Assist in preparing technical reports, presentations, and trial feedback. Maintain accurate laboratory records, trial reports, and product documentation. Capture formulation data and update specification systems. Ensure confidentiality of technical and proprietary product information. Assist with factory trials and production scale-up activities. Liaise with internal & external contacts regarding ingredients and raw material samples or documentation. Stay informed on industry trends, ingredient innovation, and new technologies. Support customer sample requests and tailored product solutions under guidance of senior team members.

POSITION INFO:
Key Requirements: Degree in Food Science or Food Technology with at least 1 years’ product development experience. Knowledge of product formulation, food processing principles, food safety and quality standards required. Exposure to herbs, spices, seasoning blends, premixes, or food applications will be beneficial.
