POSITION INFO:

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design Technology, or a related field

Software Expertise: * Proven experience (through internships or academic projects) with Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
- Foundational understanding of Autodesk Vault or a similar data management environment.
Technical Knowledge:
- Strong grasp of mechanical principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, 3D printing).
- Ability to interpret and create technical blueprints and engineering drawings.
Soft Skills:
- Problem-Solving: A logical approach to tackling design challenges.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in modeling and documentation to prevent costly manufacturing errors.
- Adaptability: Eagerness to learn new workflows and accept constructive feedback in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. 3D Modeling & Design

Develop detailed 3D parts and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
Create and update technical drawings, including BOMs (Bills of Materials), GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and assembly instructions.
Perform basic stress and clearance checks to validate design integrity before prototyping.

2. Data Management & Workflow

Manage all design files and version histories within Autodesk Vault or similar PDM (Product Data Management) systems.
Maintain strict adherence to file-naming conventions and folder structures to ensure team-wide accessibility.
Assist in the transition of "Work-in-Progress" files to "Released" status for manufacturing.

3. Prototyping & Collaboration

Support the senior design team in conducting design reviews and implementing necessary revisions.
Collaborate with the workshop or external vendors to troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
Participate in hands-on testing and assembly of prototypes to verify design functionality
