📍 Role Overview
The Junior Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supporting and overseeing day-to-day maintenance operations across the property. This role is hands-on, combining practical maintenance work with basic supervisory duties to ensure facilities, equipment, and infrastructure are well-maintained and operating efficiently.
 
📋 Key Responsibilities
🔧 Maintenance Operations

• Perform daily maintenance and repair work (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, etc.)
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Ensure all equipment and facilities are functioning optimally
• Respond promptly to maintenance issues and breakdowns

• Supervise and guide maintenance staff on daily tasks
• Allocate duties and ensure work is completed to standard
• Monitor productivity and quality of work
• Assist in training and mentoring junior staff

• Assist with minor projects, upgrades, and refurbishments
• Coordinate with contractors when required
• Ensure work is completed on time and meets quality standards

• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
• Promote safe working practices within the team
• Conduct basic safety checks and report hazards

• Maintain maintenance logs and job cards
• Monitor tools, equipment, and stock levels
• Report maintenance issues and costs to senior management

POSITION INFO:
🎯 Minimum Requirements
🎓 Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Maintenance, Electrical, Plumbing, or related field
• Trade Test (advantageous)

• 2–4 years’ experience in a maintenance role
• Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role (preferred)
• Experience in hospitality, lodges, or facilities maintenance is advantageous

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of:
• Electrical systems
• Plumbing systems
• General building maintenance
• Preventative maintenance practices
• Ability to use maintenance tools and equipment safely
• Understanding of health and safety standards

• Hands-on and practical mindset
• Leadership and team coordination skills
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and under pressure

• May require weekend, standby, or after-hours work
• Physically demanding role
• Live-in position may be required in lodge environments
