EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years post articles experience in litigation, labor law, commercial law, and contract law.
• Admitted attorney to the High Court of South Africa.
• LL. B Degree.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy sector.
• Familiarity with NEC 3 and FIDIC suite agreements.

MAIN OBJECTIVES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Litigation and Legal Support:

• Assist in litigation matters and liaise with external legal counsel.
• Provide legal counsel on labor law, commercial law, and contract law.

Sector-Specific Expertise:

• Preferred experience in the construction or engineering sector within the energy industry.

Contract Drafting and Review:

• Draft and review contracts, focusing on the NEC 3 and FIDIC suite agreements.

Debt Collection and Insurance Law:

• Manage debt collection procedures and handle insurance law matters.

Commercial Document Review:

• Analyze general commercial documents, including credit applications and lease agreements.

Company Secretarial Duties:

• Beneficial if experienced in Company Secretarial functions.
