SUMMARY:
Junior IT Technician
Our client, a dynamic IT solutions provider, is seeking a Junior IT Technician to join their team. This role is ideal for a technically skilled individual with a passion for IT support and problem-solving. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing first-line technical support, maintaining IT systems, and assisting with the implementation of IT solutions for a diverse client base. The position will be based in Randburg, Gauteng.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant IT support role.
Relevant IT qualification (e.g. A+, N+, Diploma or similar)
Solid understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking
Experience with Microsoft Windows environments.
Basic knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN, routers, switches)
Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport (advantageous)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and customer service skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide first-line technical support to clients (remote and onsite)
Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, hardware, and software.
Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues efficiently.
Assist with network setup, maintenance, and monitoring.
Perform routine system checks, updates, and backups.
Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
Assist senior technicians with more complex IT projects and implementations.
Ensure all work is completed within agreed service levels.
