JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client has an opportunity available for a Junior IT Asset Management Specialist `based in Pretoria.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a NQF level 6 National diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related qualification.
  • IAITAM Certification, such as CHAMP, CSAM, and CITAM.
  • 5+ years’ experience supporting IT Asset Management with strong knowledge of computer IT hardware from major brands.
  • 3+ years ITSM tool experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IT Service Management processes.
  • ITIL Foundation or certification would be advantageous.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of the centre Balance Score Card initiatives.
  • Manage information technology assets and support the organisation's business requirements around all IT assets utilized.
  • Conduct periodic analysis of asset status and provide defined reports to management.
  • Collaborate with the Finance asset team in ensuring that IT assets and inventory are always updated.
  • Manage and maintain several stock rooms across the buildings.
  • Facilitate the audit of IT assets.
  • Manage the lifecycle of hardware and software models from their introduction to their retirement.
  • Take part in other ITSM processes, or as required perform as a back up to maintain operational activities.
  • Build and maintain effective relations with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide support to the management team regarding centre management and other people related tasks.
