JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client has an opportunity available for a Junior IT Asset Management Specialist `based in Pretoria.

Requirements:

Minimum of a NQF level 6 National diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related qualification.
IAITAM Certification, such as CHAMP, CSAM, and CITAM.
5+ years’ experience supporting IT Asset Management with strong knowledge of computer IT hardware from major brands.
3+ years ITSM tool experience.
Strong knowledge of IT Service Management processes.
ITIL Foundation or certification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities:

Support the implementation of the centre Balance Score Card initiatives.
Manage information technology assets and support the organisation's business requirements around all IT assets utilized.
Conduct periodic analysis of asset status and provide defined reports to management.
Collaborate with the Finance asset team in ensuring that IT assets and inventory are always updated.
Manage and maintain several stock rooms across the buildings.
Facilitate the audit of IT assets.
Manage the lifecycle of hardware and software models from their introduction to their retirement.
Take part in other ITSM processes, or as required perform as a back up to maintain operational activities.
Build and maintain effective relations with both internal and external stakeholders.
Provide support to the management team regarding centre management and other people related tasks.
