SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a commercially minded Junior Finance Manager to join a fast-paced supply chain and manufacturing environment. This role is suited to a driven finance professional looking to step into a leadership position while contributing to business performance and growth.

POSITION INFO:
Our client, a well-established organisation within the supply chain and manufacturing sector, is seeking a Junior Finance Manager to strengthen their finance function. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will focus on financial reporting, budgeting, operational support, and driving efficiencies across the business.

The successful candidate will play a key role in aligning financial strategy with operational objectives, ensuring compliance, and delivering insightful analysis to support decision-making at a senior level. This position offers strong exposure to both financial and operational aspects of the business, making it ideal for a hands-on and ambitious finance professional.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee the financial accounting function while supporting overall business performance
Prepare and present monthly and quarterly management accounts with meaningful insights
Drive the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
Ensure efficient and accurate month-end close processes through continuous improvement initiatives
Monitor financial governance, compliance, and adherence to group reporting standards
Manage working capital, including debtors, creditors, and inventory control
Support cost-saving initiatives and identify areas for operational efficiencies
Oversee capex planning, reporting, and asset utilisation analysis
Assist with year-end audits, tax, and deferred tax calculations
Review and approve payroll reports while ensuring statutory compliance
Provide insight into manufacturing and product costing
Manage and develop the finance team, driving performance and accountability
Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to support strategic objectives

Job Experience & Skills Required:

BCom degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (postgraduate qualification advantageous)
Completed articles
Minimum of 5 years’ experience, with at least 2 years in a finance leadership or supervisory role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to influence and engage with stakeholders
High attention to detail with a results-driven mindset
Strong communication and leadership capabilities
Experience within a manufacturing or supply chain environment is highly advantageous
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
