SUMMARY:
A leading South African Technology and Business Solutions organisation is seeking a commercially minded Junior Financial Analyst to join its growing finance team.
This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys analysing financial performance, partnering with business stakeholders and transforming financial data into meaningful business insights. You will work closely with senior leadership, supporting strategic decision-making through budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance analysis while being exposed to a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyse monthly management reports and financial performance packs.
Perform detailed variance, profitability and trend analysis.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic business decisions.
Partner with operational teams to improve financial performance and business efficiencies.
Produce dashboards and reporting packs for senior management.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure data integrity.
Identify process improvement opportunities through financial analysis and automation.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Qualifications:

BCom Accounting, BCom Finance or equivalent (Non-negotiable)
Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles will be highly advantageous.

Experience:

1–3 years' post-articles or commercial finance experience.
Strong financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting experience.
Exposure to management reporting and financial modelling.
Experience within Technology, Telecommunications, Business Services, Logistics, Distribution, FMCG or Retail environments will be advantageous.
Candidates whose experience is primarily within Banking, Financial Services, Insurance or Manufacturing environments are unlikely to be considered.

Skills:

Advanced Microsoft Excel (Non-negotiable)
ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Sage, Dynamics or similar)
Power BI or other BI reporting tools advantageous
Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving ability
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
