SUMMARY:
Job Purpose
The Junior Financial Administrator provides support to the finance and accounting team by assisting with day-to-day financial operations, record-keeping, and reporting. This role ensures accurate financial data management, helps maintain compliance, and contributes to smooth financial operations within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Administration

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Process invoices, payments, and expense claims
Support bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking
Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems

Reporting & Analysis

Prepare basic financial reports and summaries
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting
Support management in tracking budgets and expenses

Compliance & Support

Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures
Assist auditors during audits by providing required documentation
Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects

General Administration

Respond to financial queries from internal teams and suppliers
Maintain spreadsheets and financial databases
Assist in improving and streamlining financial processes

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications

Matric (Grade 12) – essential
Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping (advantageous)

Experience

0–2 years in finance, bookkeeping, or administration role preferred
Exposure to accounting software (Pastel, Sage, QuickBooks, etc.) is advantageous

Skills & Competencies

Basic understanding of accounting principles
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Good organizational and time management skills
Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
Good communication skills
