SUMMARY:
We are constantly on the lookout for qualified Junior Financial Accountant.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The candidate will also be required to perform the following additional duties:

Weekly processing of expenses and general payments
Maintaining fixed asset registers
Intercompany accounting and reconciliations
General ledger reconciliations
Backup and support for all Finance functions and processes undertaken within team, supplier payables, employee T&E audits, foreign currency payments, banking & bank reconciliations, insurer reconciliations, etc
Supplier reconciliations and updates, managing statement enquiries from internal and external sources
Conduct process reviews with local management and recommend changes to improve efficiencies office
Data analysis to include daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reporting requirements. Identify supplier spend and engage with business units/vendors to negotiate improved terms of trade
Complete audits and run internal checks to ensure compliance to all processes and procedures – maintain instruction manuals
Assist with systems upgrades, changes to processes and liaise with Business Units and support users impacted by change
Manage special projects for the department
Delivering excellent service for internal customers.
Updating key data and information daily to comply with agreed Service Levels
Researching accuracy of company information and ensuring that Willis SA records are up to date
Conduct audit and accuracy checks on a regular basis
Work with colleagues to ensure that all aspects of the role are completed daily. Sharing ideas and knowledge with colleagues
Delivering whilst being compliant with Willis Towers Watson procedures and external (FSCA) regulations.

Requirements:

Completed B. Com accounting or similar
Completed accredited articles with a small or medium sized auditing firm
Fully competent in Microsoft Office tools- intermediate Excel capability
Excellent customer service and organisational skills
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Reliable, with a flexible approach to work
Ability to prioritise work according to urgency and deliver to required deadlines without compromising quality
Ability to get on with the job quietly and efficiently
Good teamwork skills
Willingness to be part of a small, highly productive team
