SUMMARY:
A leading telecommunications Group in Johannesburg is currently seeking a Junior Financial Accountant!

POSITION INFO:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Financial Accountant. My client is a telecommunications network group that specialises in fibre, with a big focus on building the future.

As a Junior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for:

Prepare and submit monthly management accounts, including trial balances, debtor/creditor analyses, PAYE schedules, and VAT reports monthly.
Input and reconcile all invoices and accounts in Sage, ensuring they match month-end statements.
Conduct daily bank reconciliations for all entities and provide weekly progress reports to directors.
Develop a monthly budget for company expenses for approval and manage supplier contracts to avoid penalties.
Perform monthly payroll, PAYE calculations, and e-filing submissions. Register new staff for PAYE as needed.
Prepare VAT 201 submissions for director approval and assist with tax clearance certificates and annual IRP 5 forms.
Record all network assets in Sage and calculate their depreciation for balance sheet inclusion.
Issue monthly invoices, process debit orders, and reconcile payments with reports. Address unsuccessful transactions promptly.

What Do You Need?:

Degree or Diploma in Accounting
2-5 years work experience
Fluent in Sage and Pastel
Experienced in SARS E-Filing
Fully skilled in Microsoft
