Junior Debtors Clerk - Bryanston

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We require an ambitious Junior Debtors Clerk to perform a variety of accounts receivable tasks.

Should be eager and willing to learn with a passion to further their accounting knowledge.

The debtor’s function will include the administration of all Debtors accounts, ensure that the credit application process is adhered to at all times, the minimization of bad debts and the management of the risk while maintaining positive customer interactions.

Minimum Requirements:

Matric / Grade 12 or relevant equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
Able to read and understand Age Analysis and Debtors Reports
Excellent written and oral communications
Pastel Partner & Evolution an advantage
Willingness to jump in and assist
Excellent computer expertise especially in Word, Excel & emailing
Own transport
Admin and Invoicing experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial and business administration duties
Full reconciliation of debtors
Monitor Overdue Debtors and Invoices and do follow ups
Maintenance of client relationships
Review customer accounts on a regular basis to maintain an appropriate level of credit risk
Opening debtors accounts of completed application forms.
Creating and sending debtors invoices and statements to customers according to agreed deadlines.
Support month end and year end closing processes
Assist with accounts receivable control processes
Daily entering of key data of financial transactions in database
Be able to work under pressure
Answer phones and take messages
Ad hoc debtors related work

Salary - R12 500pm
