Creditors Clerk

POSITION INFO:

Accounts Payable Creditors Clerk

R8000 – R10 000
Successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timeous processing of transactions from source documents
Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping qualification
3+ years'' related experience preferred
Hands-on experience working with debtors and creditors
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with SAGE and Microsoft Office

Duties/ Responsibilities:

Prepare Purchase Orders for suppliers
Process Supplier Invoices
Process Customer Invoices
Process GRV’s, journals, credit notes
Supplier account Reconciliation
Customer account Reconciliation
Verify and investigate discrepancies
Follow up on payments
Credit applications
Prepare weekly payments
Creditors reconciliations
Obtain all supplier statements at month end
Account for all reconciling items
Ensure all tax invoices are VAT compliant ito of SARS requirements
Finalize creditors reconciliation statement
Prepare EFT requisition for payment
Submit to Financial Manager for signoff
Submit monthly cash flow requirement to Financial Manager
Prepare monthly Accrual List of all creditors
Follow up on all outstanding queries with operations
Monthly bank reconciliations of all bank statements
Banking
Managing Petty Cash
