SUMMARY:
The Junior Creditors Clerk will be responsible for the accurate processing and capturing of supplier invoices, maintaining creditor records, reconciling supplier accounts, and providing administrative support to the Accounts Payable function.

Junior Creditors Clerk

Area: Linbro Business Park, Sandton
Salary Package: R10 000 – R15 000 Basic Salary per month plus Medical Aid optional, Pension Fund, 15 days leave, 08h00 - 17h00 Monday to Friday - hour lunch

Purpose of the Position

The Junior Creditors Clerk will be responsible for the accurate processing and capturing of supplier invoices, maintaining creditor records, reconciling supplier accounts, and providing administrative support to the Accounts Payable function.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately capture supplier invoices onto the ERP system.
• Verify invoices against purchase orders and supporting documentation.
• Ensure invoices are correctly coded to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Follow up on outstanding invoices, credit notes, and supplier queries.
• Prepare documentation for payment runs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date creditor files and records.
• Assist with month-end creditor reconciliations and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Perform general accounts payable administration and filing.
• Assist the Finance Department with ad hoc administrative duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Relevant Finance or Accounting qualification will be advantageous.
• 1–3 years'''' experience in a Creditors or Accounts Payable environment.
• Experience capturing high volumes of supplier invoices.
• Experience working on ERP systems such as Microsoft Navision, Kerridge K8, or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
• Good understanding of creditors processes and reconciliations.
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
