SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a Junior Conveyancing Secretary to join their busy conveyancing team in George. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a foundation in conveyancing administration who is looking to grow their skills within a supportive, hands-on environment.

You will provide administrative and secretarial support to a Conveyancer, assisting with the full transfer, bond, and cancellation process from instruction through to registration. While you'll bring relevant experience to the role, our Conveyancer is happy to train you in the specific systems, processes, and workflow used in this practice.

POSITION INFO:

Overview of responsibilities (bearing in mind support is provided):

Preparing and drafting conveyancing documents (transfers, bonds, cancellations)
Liaising with clients, banks, estate agents, and the Deeds Office
Managing FICA and compliance documentation
Diary management and tracking of matter progress/deadlines
Preparing accounts and guarantees
General secretarial support (correspondence, filing, document management)
Lodging and tracking documents at the Deeds Office

Requirements

3 years' experience in a conveyancing secretary or similar legal support role
Working knowledge of conveyancing procedures (transfers, bonds, cancellations)
Familiarity with conveyancing software (e.g. Lexus & Web Convey)
Strong administrative, organisational, and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
