Junior Bookkeeper

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client in the Automotive industry, is seeking a Junior Bookkeeper to join their team in Office at Jacobs/Prospecton (Durban South) - The role is a Temporary Contract.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Maintaining the financial records of a company by accurately recording the day-to-day financial transactions of the company
Experience with Foreign Payments and Foreign currency
Check and verify source documents such as invoices, receipts, computer printouts
Allocate and post financial transaction details to subsidiary books
Transfer data to general ledger
Reconcile and balance all accounts
Track and maintain inventory records
Maintain internal control systems
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare payments and bank deposits
Maintenance of bank accounts
Prepare, process and review payroll
Comply with relevant reporting requirements
Assist with audits
Maintain complete filing system to support financial records
Maintain fixed asset register
Ability to read Management and financial data analysis
Experience of Fixed Asset and Inventory Control
Knowledge and application of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements

Minimum Requirements

Bookkeeping Certification or Finance/Business Degree
Pastel Accounting
2-4years Experience
VIP Payroll
Availability to start at short notice will be beneficial

Minimum Requirements
• Bookkeeping Certification with Minimum 2-4 years’ experience
• Experience with generally accepted accounting principles and procedures
• Experience in accounting packages and payroll
• Experience management and financial data analysis
• Must have an accounting degree in finance or business.
• Experience of Fixed Asset and Inventory Control
Knowledge
• Relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
• Planning, organising and attention to detail
• Information collection and monitoring
• Problem analysis
• Communication skills
• Confidentiality
