JUNIOR BOOKKEEPER

SUMMARY

The Junior Bookkeeper will be responsible for all bookkeeping functions within the business. Monthly reports, bank reconciliations, processing invoices and balancing cashbooks. The candidate must be computer literate with good MS Excel skills, and experience in EVO will be an advantage.

This person will focus on capturing municipal billing and levies. 

This candidate must preferably have bookkeeper experience and if you are studying a degree in accounting this would be an advantage.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

2 Years’ experience as a bookkeeper

Studying towards an accounting degree would be an advantage

Experience: EVO Experience will be advantageous

Payroll Exposure to data capturing Processing on pastel or any accounting package Ability to work with figures

Requirements: Must be able to do bank reconciliation and cash book processing

Preparation of monthly reports

Processing invoices and cashbooks

Journal adjustments and allocations

Follow up on unpaid rentals and request LODs 

Liaise with tenants on account related matters 

Ensure all creditor invoices and statements are received, captured and paid on time 

Ensure all invoices comply with VAT requirements of a valid TAX invoice 

Completes to trial balances and prepare management accounts 

Updates cash flow sheet daily & monthly 

Capture receipts and payments - daily 

Reconcile to bank statement - daily
