SUMMARY:
Our client based in Ballito is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Bookkeeper to support their finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with basic financial reporting.

Preference will be given to candidates residing on the North Coast

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements

Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3 - 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Basic understanding of accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Zoho Books - advantageous)
Strong numerical and analytical skills
High level of attention to detail and accuracy

Key Responsibilities

Capture and maintain accurate financial records in accounting systems
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
Assist with invoicing, billing, and collections
Maintain and organize financial documents and records
Support monthly and year-end closing processes
Prepare basic financial reports and summaries
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Assist senior staff with audits and financial reviews

Working Hours

Office-based
Standard working hours - 8am to 5pm - Mon to Fri
