SUMMARY:

Kick-start your actuarial career with a hands-on pricing and modelling role where you’ll build real technical skills using Python, gain exposure to reserving, and work in a high-performing short-term insurance environment.

POSITION INFO:

This opportunity is ideal for a candidate early in their actuarial journey who is eager to develop strong technical capability in pricing models, data analysis, and automation. You will gain practical exposure to building and enhancing pricing models, while also supporting reserving processes and system improvements.
You’ll be working in a structured, delivery-focused environment where learning, growth, and continuous improvement are encouraged. This role offers strong development potential for someone passionate about actuarial modelling and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with data extraction, cleaning, and preparation using Python and SQL
Support the development and testing of pricing models (including GLMs)
Perform data analysis and basic statistical investigations
Contribute to pricing reviews, monitoring, and reporting
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
Assist with reserving data preparation, validation, and system implementation
Maintain clear documentation and version control of work

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:

Degree in Actuarial Science

Experience:

Minimum 1 year’s experience in short-term insurance
Exposure to pricing models or modelling environments
Progress with actuarial exams

Skills:

Working knowledge of Python (data manipulation and modelling)
Basic understanding of statistical methods and actuarial concepts
Strong Excel skills; SQL advantageous

Other requirements:

Strong attention to detail
Willingness to learn and grow technically
Ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment
