POSITION INFO:

An established and growing investment and financial services company is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their finance team.

This opportunity is suited to a candidate who has completed their articles and is looking to further develop their accounting career within a professional, fast-paced, and growth-focused environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for full accounting functions, reconciliations, reporting, VAT submissions, and assisting with month-end and year-end financial processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Full monthly accounting processing
• Management of debtors, creditors, bank accounts, and inter-company transactions
• Monthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliations
• Maintenance and management of fixed asset registers
• Investor account administration and monthly interest calculations
• Preparation and submission of VAT reconciliations and returns
• Processing month-end and year-end journals
• Assisting with annual audit requirements
• Preparation of monthly cash flow forecasts
• Ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial records and reporting

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Completed SAIPA, SAICA, CIMA or similar accounting articles
• Relevant Accounting Diploma or Degree
• Minimum 1–3 years' accounting experience
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans
• Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport advantageous
