SUMMARY:
An opportunity for a Junior Accountant for one of my clients in the Accounting firm to be based in Cape Town. PERMAMENT POSITION

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities :

Performance of the accounting function for various clients using Receipt Bank and Xero
Generating client invoices
Capturing of expenses and monthly costs, reconciling to supplier statements via Receipt Bank.
Preparation of accrual and adjustment journals
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Preparation of annual financial statements for submission to SARS
Payroll function (prepare payslips, generate IRP5’s, EMP201 and EMP501 SARS submissions
VAT and Income Tax reconciliations to SARS
Processing of online payments
Submitting HMRC returns for UK clients
Reporting to managers on clients
Communication with and management of relationship with client Candidate requirements

Requirements :

Very strong written and verbal communication skills
Degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting
Experience in filing SARS returns (VAT, PAYE and Income Tax)
Experience in preparing annual financial statements and monthly management accounts
Proficient in Excel and Word
Experience with Xero (preferred but not required)
Excellent written and oral communication services
Minimum 2 years experience (required)
SAIPA / CIMA / ACCA articles preferred
Experience with UK clients / companies BONUS!
