POSITION INFO:
Our client is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who is looking to develop their accounting skills while gaining broad exposure across financial operations, reporting, reconciliations, and daily accounting activities.
The successful candidate will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain financial records, and support the day-to-day finance function within a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the full finance function
Perform bank reconciliations
Process journals and general ledger entries
Assist with month-end reporting and reconciliations
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Assist with VAT and other compliance-related activities
Support budgeting and financial reporting processes
Assist with financial administration and reporting requirements

Job Experience and Skills Required

Education:

Relevant Accounting qualification advantageous
Degree beneficial but not required

Experience:

Minimum 1-3 years' accounting experience
Exposure to the full finance function advantageous
Experience within hospitality, hotels, events, venues, or related industries beneficial

Skills:

Microsoft Excel
Reconciliations
Financial reporting
General ledger accounting
Strong attention to detail
Good communication and organisational skills
