POSITION INFO:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional looking to expand their experience across a broad range of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial administration functions within a fast-paced business environment.

This role is based in Woodmead.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general accounting and bookkeeping duties, including cashbook processing and petty cash management.
Process and reconcile non-stock supplier invoices for both local and international suppliers.
Complete monthly bank account and clearing account reconciliations.
Process and reconcile business card transactions on a weekly and monthly basis.
Ensure accurate VAT allocations and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Assist with day-to-day financial administration and reporting requirements.
Support the finance department in maintaining strong internal controls and governance standards.
Ensure compliance with IFRS and company policies.
Provide professional service and support to both internal and external stakeholders.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2–4 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
Experience with reconciliations, supplier processing, and cashbook management.
Knowledge of VAT regulations and financial compliance requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
