SUMMARY:
A busy steel trading company requires an energetic and hands on person to supervise their Warehouse.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications:

Grade 12 / equivalent

Experience and Requirements:

At least 3 years’ steel industry experience as a Warehouse Supervisor
Knowledge of steel and tube products , able to identify the different types of steel & Tube products
Computer literate on Ms Office Suite and (Syspro would be an advantage)
Own Transport and a valid driver’s licence is essential
Have a stable work record and contactable references
Of sober habits
Be physically fit and energetic and able to work on your feet
Able to work retail hours (including Saturdays & Public Holidays on a roster basis)

Duties and responsibilities:

Strong supervisory skills
To perform the full function of receiving and dispatching and work closely with the Warehouse Manager
Knowledge of mild steel products is essential
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ensure that the correct stock is received and dispatched
Work closely with the sales staff
Follow up on queries and provide feedback to customers
