Our client, a leading financial services organisation, is looking for an experienced BI Developer / Data Warehouse Developer to join their Business Software Solutions team.

Join an established South African financial services organisation as a BI Developer, where you’ll work on business-critical SQL Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, reporting, dashboards and data visualisation solutions. This is a hands-on opportunity to strengthen your technical expertise, solve complex data and reporting challenges, collaborate with developers and Business Analysts, and mentor junior team members.

Duties:

• Design, develop and maintain Business Intelligence solutions
• Develop and maintain operational reports, dashboards and data visualisations
• Work with SQL Data Warehouse environments, including implementation, configuration, administration and maintenance
• Investigate and resolve reporting and data-related issues
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting solutions and system performance
• Work closely with developers and Business Analysts to resolve performance issues and optimise queries
• Provide technical support and diagnose incidents relating to BI solutions
• Implement solutions and escalate complex technical issues where required
• Ensure BI-related incidents and service requests are resolved effectively
• Support the ongoing improvement and reliability of reporting and analytics solutions

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Relevant degree, diploma or IT/software development qualification.

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Data Warehouse Developer / BI Developer role
• Hands-on experience designing, configuring, installing, troubleshooting and maintaining BI solutions
• Strong SQL/T-SQL and SQL Server experience, with solid exposure to Data Warehousing and BI development. Power BI, SSRS, SSIS or SSAS experience would be advantageous

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong planning and organisational skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with maturity and discretion
• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or relevant certifications will be advantageous
• Willingness to work occasional after-hours when required
• Ability and willingness to coach and mentor junior staff
